KI-USA 2016 Kickoff

If you are receiving this email it is because you have been an ally of Kilimanjaro Initiative USA (KI-USA) for the last few years, or you have climbed the mountain with us since we organized the first USA youth sponsored annual ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain on the African continent in 2013.
The 2016 climb this past February celebrated our sister organization’s, Kilimanjaro Initiative’s (KI), 10th anniversary and will continue to underline how young women and men play a vital role in the positive development of our communities. As for each of its annual climbs, KI and KI-USA selected ten young women and men from Kenya, Tanzania and the USA to take part in a 10-day youth leadership camp at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro and walked with them to the summit of Africa.
Join us on Friday, April 15th 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at the UNFCU headquarters in Long Island City. Meet climbers from our 2013-2016 cohorts and hear about our plans to take KI-USA to the next level.
